In English we pull someone's leg; in Spanish it's the hair. Can you work out what is going on in the first couple of lines here?

¿Me estabas tomando el pelo con los pájaros?

¿O escuchaste el aviso que hice ayer? ¡Cinco anillos de oro! Me encantaría poder decir uno para cada dedo, pero todos son del mismo tamaño, así que… bueno, puedo improvisar con la forma de llevarlos. De todos modos, supongo que este es el regalo principal.


¡Qué suerte, tener un hombre como tú, que me da no uno, sino cinco regalos de Navidad! Las joyas siempre son apreciadas... aunque me hubiera gustado un anillo para un cierto dedo en particular. (Emoji de guiño)

Oh Edward!

Were you just teasing me with the bird presents? Or did you heed the request I made yesterday? Five gold rings! I would like to say one for each finger, but they are all the same size, so…well, I can improvise with how I wear them. Anyway, I assume this is the main present. How lucky I am to have a man who gives me not one but five Christmas presents! Jewellery is always appreciated… even if I might have liked a ring for one finger in particular. (Winky emoji)
