The SameSky way
"Learning a new language is like becoming another person."
Haruki Murakami
You are reading this presumably because you are interested in improving your language skills, which already sets you apart from the average Brit! Whatever your main reason for wanting to learn - business, pleasure or pub-quiz smugness - we aim to make your learning experience meaningful, enjoyable and fruitful.

Our Story
Established in 2015, our sweet-spot has become teaching foreign languages to adults who want to join a group of like-minded people to improve their language skills. Our classes are welcoming and sociable, and students often develop extra contact outside of lesson time, either on language-based WhatsApp groups or in the local coffee shop or pub
Would you rather join a group or take one-to-one lessons? Both are possible.

I have been teaching languages in many and various formats and circumstances since 1993. I’ve always been driven by a passion for foreign-language music, the fascinating stories behind words and phrases, and the simple joy of being able to communicate with people from other countries. My lightbulb moment came with the realisation that it is less important to be teaching the right thing, than guiding the students towards learning the right thing. This might sound like a pedantic distinction, but to me it was huge! I set up SameSky Languages in 2015. The original plan was to run language-learning holidays, but the teaching side took over (almost) totally.

I am a dedicated teacher with a passion for educating others. Born in Korea and raised in South America, I am bi-lingual in Korean and Spanish and have also lived in the USA as an international volunteer, which has made me fluent in English as well. I enjoy engaging in dynamic conversations on a variety of topics!

Who came first, the student or the teacher? Is the teacher always the wise one, or could they be a student who has become accomplished? Here I am, referred to as "another kind of teacher" post completing my pedagogical studies in the chilly land of Denmark. I am Italian, sporty, and a seasoned traveller who has recently settled in the most friendly country in Africa: Malawi. My travels have taught me the importance of communication, which goes beyond language and incorporates various colours, scents, tastes, and emotions, creating a memorable experience for the curious.Learning is the driving force of development, and your presence here shows your eagerness to challenge yourself. Together, we can get to know each other in different languages: English, Spanish, Italian, and why not something else? Apart from a vast repository of learning strategies, we can also invite special guests to aid us in this linguistic adventure. I promise you complete flexibility and hope to create something unique with you. I look forward to seeing you soon! Ciao.
